Our Snowmass Office

Founding partners of Chaffin/Light Associates, Jim Light and Jim Chaffin acquired Snowmass Real Estate Company in 1978 and as principal developers in Snowmass Village they designed and built the Snowmass Club and Golf Course. 41 years in the center of Snowmass Mall. 12 Brokers with 307 years of experience.   The Snowmass office is the town’s oldest real estate firm, and the brokers and staff have unmatched knowledge and market influence. ”This office brings a history of sales in Snowmass Village as old as the Snowmass Ski Area,” says Supervising Broker Garrett Reuss. “Snowmass Real Estate Company has been the leading real estate company in Snowmass for almost four decades. CAJR was chosen for their deep community involvement. 34 years in the center of downtown Aspen.   Chaffin Light Real Estate’s commitment to build our Aspen office to the same market dominating stature of our Snowmass Village and Basalt locations is enhanced by the addition of Penney Evans Carruth as a top-producing broker and Supervising Broker.   Penney’s successful career in real estate began in 1975. She has first-hand experience with the evolution of change in the Roaring Fork Valley, especially Aspen. With a grandmother who was born in Aspen, Penney has grown with and participated in the “good, bad and the beautiful” of the last 50 or so years. Chardonnay Real Estate was acquired in 1997. We purchased 201 Midland Avenue in Basalt’s commercial core in 1999, changed the company name to Roaring Fork Real Estate and expanded the company by adding six new brokers   Conveniently located between Aspen and Glenwood Springs, the group of skilled brokers and talented staff at the CHAFFIN LIGHT Real Estate Basalt office is focused on providing the most rewarding real estate experience possible.
